Earn your master’s on the fast track — and the credentials to get promoted before you graduate.
Plus One lets Illinois Tech undergraduates earn a bachelor’s and a master’s in as little as five to six years — sharing up to 12 credits across both degrees. Career Services helps you turn that head start into offers, raises, and promotions.
The Program
What Is Plus One?
Plus One is an accelerated master’s option for undergraduates with at least 12 credits left in their program — ideal for third-year students who have completed at least 60 credits. You start graduate coursework while finishing your bachelor’s, and up to 12 shared credits count toward both degrees.
Shared credits: up to 12 apply toward both your undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Duration: earn both degrees in five to six years.
Transfer students: must have completed at least 12 credits at Illinois Tech.
GPA: a 3.0 minimum (lower may still qualify with an adviser’s recommendation letter).
