- Evaluates, resolves, and reconciles case assignment discrepancies credited to private agency foster case contracts.
- Provides data compilation and/or entry for case searches, case or provider status/history, and special projects as requested by the Deputy Director, Associate Deputy Director, Division Business Manager, or other appropriate staff; mediates payment issues between the Department and private agencies.
- Provides guidance and technical assistance in overall data entry support to Divisional staff as well as Purchase of Service staff, to include instruction on rules and procedures regarding payment systems, case opening and case closing, procedures and utilization of DCFS mainframe database functions and computer software.
- Maintains responsibility for more difficult assignment determinations, research, and investigative work and problem solving.
- Researches prior home segments to determine if additional emergency placement is allowed, extended, or if it must revert back to a regular board payment rate.
- Serves as primary contact for agency downsizing and closings.
- Monitors and maintains data for Case Management Monthly Travel Report.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to two years of secretarial/business college, and one year of office experience, or completion of high school and three years of office experience, or three years of independent business experience.
- Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 30 wpm.
