As a digital hardware focused organization, our goal is to provide a space for interdisciplinary creation of ideas, projects and solutions for real world problems, but most importantly, creating a culture of hacking. By sparking creativity in young minds, we can make ideas come to reality and help IIT become a more engaging and lively community through intellectual challenges. Building on members passion for physical craft and its relation to the digital world, we strive to engage with members through their shared love of electronics, gaming systems, and entertainment media. We also hope to inspire a curiosity and passion for exploring the inner workings of their favorite digital hardware, while providing the space and resources for students to pursue their own digital hardware projects/research.
Our organization wants to create an environment where we promote a culture of competitive âhackingâ and creation on campus, as well as passionate hardware projects. We want to give students the space, resources, and opportunities to connect their digital hobbies to their profession. We want a space to share crazy, creative ideas and add liveliness to the campus through engineering and campus-wide puzzles or scavenger hunts that will require students to engage more with their community. We will also provide workshops that will prepare students for hackathons and a myriad of other design competitions.
Building on the same values and mission as the Aenigma in the past, we are focused on facilitating a space for the creation of interdisciplinary projects and puzzle-solving skills. We will provide workshops for prototyping in order to get ideas into the prototyping phase. In addition, we will be pillars of hacking culture and create a hackathon team. We are different because we are much more than just the workshops and the competitions. We look to bring forward a hacking culture that is present in many other universities and all the benefits that come from having such a culture on campus.
