The purpose of Alianza is the encouragement of cultural, social, intellectual, professional, and political unity and advancement of the Illinois Institute of Technology’s Latine population and broader Latine communities.
Explore the vast Latine cultures and feel included and seen. More opportunities to join in cultural activities without needing to meet any criteria, major, or identity. The Latine population of IIT will benefit by feeling more seen by the university and acknowledged by their peers; providing the right to feel proud of their heritage and feel more at home on campus. Students and club leaders will have the opportunity to include more cultural diversity in their endeavors and benefit from our resources to fully see out their large-scale goals.
Established in 2025, Alianza is the historic representative and political voice of Illinois Techâs Latine student body. Alianza seek to:

⢠Embrace many aspects of different cultures
⢠Cater to the concerns and interests of the undergraduate Latine student body
⢠Unite different Latine groups and organizations at Illinois Tech
⢠Educate others on the contributions of Latines and Latine culture to society
⢠Instill consciousness of the state of Latine affairs at Illinois Tech and abroad
⢠Support the development of Latine leaders, scholars, and professionals on campus
⢠Create a sense of comunidad
⢠Support Latine clubs and organizations host cultural celebrations with equipment, resources, and knowledge
