MEDLIFE is an international, non-government organization based in South America that partners with motivated, low-income communities from Peru, Ecuador, Nicaragua, and Tanzania to improve their access to education, healthcare, and community development. The mission of MEDLIFE is not only to provide assistance to these individuals, but to sustain these effects. MEDLIFE is a heavily student-based organization, which is where the IIT-MEDLIFE chapter fits in. As the IIT-MEDLIFE chapter, we lend our support by fundraising money through volunteer activities, large and small scale events, and sponsors. The fundraising events are organized by self-motivated, energetic students who believe that access to quality healthcare, better living, and education is a basic human right. As students committing their time, resources, and knowledge to this organization, we hope to achieve an improvement in the overall health and welfare of low income families and communities in need.
Organization Mission
The purpose of this organization is to help families achieve greater freedom from the constraints of poverty, empowering them to live healthier lives through partnering with motivated individuals in low-income communities working to improve their access to MEDs: Medicine, Education, and community Development. MEDLIFE believes access to quality healthcare is a basic human right.
