Themed entertainment is the creation of “artificial environments” where guests are immersed into a selected story. From experiences like Disney and Universal parks, to smaller scale museums and exhibitions, places where every aspect of the story is designed and built into the space.
TEA is focused on inspiring individuals interested in the themed entertainment field of design and construction, giving them the opportunity and space to grow their knowledge of the field of experiential design. We aim to train students to create compelling places and experiences through architecture, engineering, arts, and communication.
Students will be able to pursue topics related to their interests, ranging from Disney to Universal intellectual properties, or creating entirely new stories for whatever project they may enjoy. Every student will have the opportunity to create an experiential space and speak about it with the rest of the club, and possibly with one of the speakers in a round table discussion. We aim to be able to compete in experiential design competitions, and eventually the Imaginations Competition.
