[ Music ] >> So it's really nice to be able to make an impact on a kid's life, and to be able to see them, you know, when they come to you, they're having functional problems with some aspect of their school life. And it is very rewarding to be able to see them be able to do things more independently because, you know, when they get out of school, even though they have supports in school, when they get out of school, it's, there's going to be an increased demand for independence throughout their lives - >> Very humbling to me, and, you know, sometimes I think I hope they're not underwhelmed by [inaudible], you know. What can you say? What can you say to someone like that? It's, well, thank you, and really the absolute truth of all, one of the big secrets is it's always the client. You know, what you are is you're a catalyst, you're a media for promoting health and wellness. >> Kind of one of the biggest advantages of occupational therapy is, you know, it's open and welcome to all types of personalities, all types of strengths, weaknesses even. >> [Inaudible] that I love about it is the flexibility. Right now, like I said, I work mainly in community and home-based services, but, you know, I enjoy working with people across the age range. I've worked with children. I've worked with adolescents, and now primarily I'm working with older adults and their families.
