POSITION DETAILS
ELM is seeking a Landscape Architect Intern to join our Jacksonville, Florida-based design team for the summer of 2024. This is a full-time paid internship from May/June to August/September 2024. This internship offers hands-on experience in various landscape architecture projects, from large-scale planning to detailed site designs.
INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work under the guidance of the project manager to assist in various stages of project development including site analysis, master planning, landscape design and construction document detailing.
- Collaborate with teams to provide landscape architectural design for various projects.
- Support in the preparation of construction documents, entitlement documents and graphics.
- Attend project meetings
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS
- Currently obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, or a related field.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and other technical software.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Active participation in student organizations or societies is a plus.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
- Experience with Sketchup and Enscape Design and Rendering software is desirable.
- The ability to produce high quality hand renderings and digital graphics is a plus.
