Salesforce Foundations is not enrolling new students while the program is being updated. Registration for BUS 495/595-03 and BUS 495/595-04 is closed, and no new sections are scheduled. Revised offerings will be posted on this page once they are confirmed.
Students already enrolled in a current section should continue with their instructor as normal. If you are planning your schedule around this sequence, speak with your academic advisor about alternatives, and email the Elevate team to be notified when enrollment reopens.
The Stuart School of Business offers a specialized course sequence on the Salesforce platform, developing the technical, business, and professional skills employers look for in the Salesforce ecosystem. What follows describes the sequence as it was most recently offered.
Salesforce is a leading customer relationship management platform, used by organizations including Formula One, United Airlines, and the World Economic Forum to manage customer relationships and support digital transformation.
Why These Skills Matter
Salesforce skills apply across industries, and the roles that use them combine technical configuration with business analysis. The sequence is built so that what you learn is demonstrable to an employer rather than self-reported, and so that the underlying skills transfer to other platforms and roles.
Course Offerings
Two Course Options
Neither course is open for registration at this time. Both are described here for planning purposes.
BUS 495/595-04: Applied Admin
Business analysis and professional skills that apply across technical fields. Students work through how digital transformation is designed and delivered using real-world scenarios, and prepare for the Salesforce Business Analyst certification exam. The underlying skills transfer across platforms and roles.
BUS 495/595-03: Building Apps
Technical proficiency and business context for an IT career on the Salesforce platform. Students prepare for the Salesforce Administrator certification exam, a widely held credential across the Salesforce ecosystem, through hands-on labs and applied projects.

While Enrollment Is Paused
What You Can Do Now
Start on Trailhead. Salesforce Trailhead is free and open to anyone. Beginning there now means you arrive at the course with foundational modules already complete, and it is worthwhile on its own regardless of what happens with the sequence.
Talk to your academic advisor. If you were counting on these credits for a specific term, your advisor can identify alternatives that keep your degree plan on schedule.
Ask about the other Career Pathway Courses. Four other for-credit options are currently open, including the Global Career Accelerator and BRVN 200.
