Professor Dawson has extensive experience working and living in Kosovo. He is excited to share this experience with students be leading this study abroad program! He will be leveraging his established connections, having previously served as a Fulbright Scholar Specialist in Kosovo, to provide this opportunity to Illinois Tech students. This program aims to delve into the realm of cybersecurity.
With the increasing significance of cybersecurity in today’s interconnected world, we recognize the importance of offering students an immersive experience that combines academic rigor with real-world application. This study abroad program will be tailored to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity challenges specific to the region, while fostering collaborative research and practical skill development.
Participants will have the opportunity to enroll in a 3-6 credit course designed to empower them with the knowledge and tools necessary to address cyber threats in the Kosovo context. This course will merge theoretical concepts with hands-on projects, encouraging students to actively engage in research and work that aligns with the cybersecurity landscape of the region. By focusing on practical applications, we aim to equip students with skills that are directly transferable to their future careers.
