About Us
The Association for Computing Machinery — Women (ACM-W) provides support and mentorship to women in the Computer Science department at Illinois Tech. Through frequent meetings and events, we are dedicated to creating a welcoming community for women in tech. We provide a safe space where women from all backgrounds can learn together and feel supported. We also send students to conferences and hackathons and are committed to providing career support to underrepresented students. Although we started as CS majors, we welcome all students in computing or electrical engineering.
Our Mission
As Illinois Tech students ourselves, we want to make this a diverse campus where students can succeed beyond the classroom. A vital part of that is helping students find a community that supports and challenges them. Our mission is to make Illinois Tech a place where CS students from all backgrounds can graduate with confidence in their abilities and a strong network of peers.
