Join CME Group for an immersive year-long technology internship that transforms Illinois Tech students into financial technology experts. This unique Elevate experience combines full-time summer work with part-time academic year employment, providing continuous hands-on experience in ultra low-latency trading platforms, risk management systems, and cutting-edge cloud infrastructure.
Duration: 12 months (Summer 2026 – Spring 2027) | Compensation: $21.10-$35.14/hour | Location: 20 S. Wacker, Chicago (Hybrid)

Program Structure
- Summer 2026: Full-time 40 hours/week – Deep dive into CME’s technology stack
- Fall 2026 & Spring 2027: Part-time 15-20 hours/week – Continue projects while attending classes

Illinois Tech Student Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with Java and/or Python programming
- Cloud technologies experience (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Passion for problem-solving and continuous learning
- Must be authorized to work in the US (No sponsorship available)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous technical internship experience
- UNIX/Linux and PowerShell knowledge
- Local to Chicago for year-round in-office availability
- For Platform: Python, Bash, Kubernetes experience
- For SRE: JavaScript, SQL, R experience
